The Legend of Lord Lingaraj:

Kartikeya as he is followed by conspiracy. After being captured as Dev Senapati, while fighting with Tarkasur, Tarkasur is killed by Kumar. The gods get relief.


Kumar Kartikeya is worshipped in the name of Sanmukh, Crown Hand, Kumar, Kruttika Putra etc. The image of this deity may seem new to everyone but he is the original Kartikeya in the bed of Sri Lingaraj Mahaprabhu.
