Kabisurjya Baladeba Ratha and Maa kali.

Baladeva Ratha's parents died when he was ten year old. He was brought up by his maternal grandfather, Tripurari Hota who used to worship Maa kali everyday with all rituals at his home. One day he fell sick and so he asked Baladeba to perform puja for that day. But that 10 years old kid didn't have any knowledge regarding the rituals and didn't know how to prepare food to offer deity. Then Tripurari asked him to fetch a bowl of milk and to stand in front of the goddess and offer her to drink. "And if she doesn't drink then you will get back with that bowl,we will have it." Being a little boy and knowing that goddess kali has such a furious face, he was so scared to go inside the room. But anyhow he had entered the room and keeping the bowl in his hand , he said "Maa , my grandpa is sick today , and I don't know any mantras to perform your daily rituals. I have some milk with me for you. If you wish to drink , then drink or else Don't complain further.". He continuously said these line again and again finally pleased by his innocence, goddess kali appeared from the sculpture and drank all milk.
